This is a lovely top from Rab – light, comfy, quick-drying and practical.
The Baseline Jacket is designed for active use in cold conditions. It’s made from Polartec’s Power Dry fabric which is high wicking. There’s a helmet-friendly hood and small thumb-loops – a feature that I always love.
It’s an athletic fit without being too tight, and it offers great range of movement – the rest of the top doesn’t move when you raise the arms. It’s treated with polygiene, which will help it stay smelling fresh even after lots of wear.
There’s a zip-up chest pocket which is a good size, but no other pockets which is a shame – the chances are I’d end up wearing the jacket as an outer layer in warmer conditions too, when I’d really miss pockets. But other than that it’s a lovely, light, technical top. It looks good too, coming in a choice of three colours: black, purple and light blue.
In a line: Light, warm and offers a great range of movement.
